Empires Overview

This lib guide examines a range of ancient empires across the world. These empires include: the Roman empire, the Ottoman empire, the Khmer empire, the Japanese empire, the Mongol empire and the British empire.

The key questions for you to consider when exploring this website are:

  1. What are the features of the empire?
  2. How did they gather and distribute their resources?
  3. Where were they located and where did they spread to?
  4. What methods did they use to gain and maintain power?
  5. How was society organised?
