This libguide supports the study of Anne of Green Gables by L.M.Montgomery as part of the Year 7 English course. Anne of Green Gables is a novel about Anne Shirley, an 11-year old girl who is mistakenly sent to a two older people for adoption. Anne is a girl who comes from nothing. She has no parents. She has no money. She has no skills—she's all of eleven. And she's dropped into a family that has no use for her. By the end of the book she has everything she lacked before: she belongs, she's loved, and she's found her identity.
